Add the unbelievably good odds of winning $5,000, over 300 Cathedral family members on a Saturday night at the end of the school year, and we will have more of a FUN-raiser than a fundraiser!

W      Pecan Sale – The Home School Association sponsors the annual sale of shelled pecans and pecan treats throughout the month of October.  The items sold are produced by Schermer Pecans of Glennville, Georgia.  Family, friends and co-workers are encouraged to purchase these delectable items as this is Home School’s sole fundraiser.  During the sale, order forms are available in the school offices and will also be sent home with students.  Pecans arrive prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Contact Darlene Humphries (601-807-4509) for more information.

W      Magazine Sale – Our annual QSP Magazine – Music – Book Sale begins Thursday, January 24, 2008 and runs for two full weeks.  This is a very important fundraiser for Cathedral.  Supporters are asked to renew their existing magazine subscriptions or to purchase new ones or to buy books or music CDs.  Cathedral’s profit is 40% of the subscription price. Subscriptions are extended no matter when they currently expire.  Since 1992, we have earned almost $300,000 in profit for our school!  Computers, software, teaching materials, and many other supplies have been purchased with QSP proceeds.  Profits have also been used for staff development and to support organizations and activities such as yearbook, student councils, Retreat Team, Prom, cheerleaders and drill teams.  There are four collection dates throughout the two weeks of the sale.  Students receive prizes for selling subscriptions and for handing Magnet Books.  If you have ordered from us previously and are experiencing a problem with your subscription order, the QSP customer service number is 1-800-678-2673.

W     Community Cash for Schools – By collecting UPCs from Community Coffee and Private Reserve products, friends and families of Cathedral School can help earn cash for the school.  Up to $250,000 is offered to participating schools.  We ask that you save your UPCs from all Community and Private Reserve products and submit them to the school.  A check will be issued to the school to be spent on anything from textbooks to equipment!  The more UPCs you collect, the more cash the school can earn!  Each Community UPC saved is worth up to 15 cents and UPCs collected from commercial businesses are worth up to 75 cents.  This year that can really add up quickly considering all Community tea product UPCs are now worth double!

W      General Mills Box Tops 4 Education – Box Tops for Education has helped America’s schools earn over $175 million in just over 10 years.  Earn cash for Cathedral School through everyday activities: buying groceries or making purchases with a credit card.  All at no additional cost to you!  Clip Box Tops from hundreds of participating brands.  Earn up to 8% back for our school when you shop online and 1% every time you use your credit card.  With your help and the dedication of your school volunteers, we can earn up to $60,000 through Box Tops each year.  That’s as much as $20,000 each from clipping Box Tops, shopping Box Tops Marketplace and using the Box Tops Visa card.  Go online for more information regarding this program: www.boxtops4education.com

W      Campbell’s Soup Labels for Education – For more than thirty years, Labels for Education has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands.  It’s a fun, easy program where students, families and members of the community work together for a common goal.  Clip and save UPCs and lids from participating Labels for Education Brands.  Remember, you no longer need to clip the entire label - just the UPC code itself.  Send them into the school and we can redeem them for educational products for Cathedral students use.
