Saturday, September 24th three members of the Cathedral School Swim Team, Kayla Cauthen, Aubrey Timm and Anna Peyton Whittington, traveled to Laurel to compete in a swim meet. They qualified in two events for South State – the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle. Fifteen 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6-A schools attended this event – Cathedral School, Gulfport, Hancock, Hattiesburg, Laurel Christian, Meridian, Northeast Jones, Oak Grove, Ocean Springs, Pearl River Center, Petal, Presbyterian Christian, Purvis, Sacred Heart, South Jones. One hundred twenty-eight girls participated in the 50-meter freestyle and one hundred twelve girls participated in the 100-meter freestyle.
50-meter Freestyle results - Kayla Cauthen placed 10th with 31.84
Anna Peyton Whittington placed 7th with 32.57
Aubrey Timm placed 9th with 33.32
South State had to have at least 38.03 to qualify.

To qualify for South State, the swimmer had to have at least 1:26.57.
Kayla, Aubrey and Anna Peyton will swim at South State Swim Meet October 15th.
