Founded in 1847, Cathedral School is located on a 22 acre campus in historic downtown Natchez. The campus contains 48 classrooms, three state of the art science labs, two computer labs, two libraries equipped with computers for student’s use, two gymnasiums, multiple playgrounds, a large cafeteria offering hot lunch daily, a weight-training facility, a football, softball and soccer stadium, and a chapel.
Cathedral Elementary offers Preschool for 3 and 4 year olds and two classes each of kindergarten through fifth grade. In January of 1999, Cathedral successfully completed a capital campaign building for a new elementary wing and athletic facilities. The Elementary School building houses Preschool 3 year olds through fifth grade as well as After School Care Facility, Multi-Purpose Room/Gymnasium, a 25 workstation technology lab, and a Cafeteria which serves hot lunches daily. Cathedral Middle School was built in 2014 and houses sixth through eighth grade with eight classrooms and a Science Lab. Cathedral High School has seventeen classrooms, computer lab and a Biology Lab and a Chemistry/Physics Lab along with a stand along classroom for each lab. With two well-equipped science laboratories as well as a large technology lab, these students have access to a superior academic program.
