COVID

Dear Cathedral Family,

The Diocese of Jackson Office of Catholic Education has issued updated guidance in regards to COVID-19 protocols. Attached is a letter from their office and the updated guidance. In this document, you will find all schools in the diocese beginning Tuesday, January 4th, will be at level 3 due to the rising cases of COVID-19. Under level 3 guidelines, all faculty, staff, and students will be required to wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status. Please make sure that your child arrives at school wearing a facemask beginning Tuesday. Please remember we do not allow gaiters. The quarantine guidelines have been updated in the attached document to reflect the new guidance from the CDC. If your student feels sick please keep him/her home. If your student tests positive or comes in contact with someone who tests positive for COVID, please keep him/her home and contact the school. We will then discuss the quarantine guidelines based on your situation. Students have done well transitioning from in-person to distance learning and our teachers will continue to work with them when they return to school. Please read over the attached documents from the Office of Catholic Education. I appreciate your support and prayers for our entire Cathedral family.
