COVID

Dear Cathedral Family,

Cathedral Catholic School currently supports level 1 COVID guidelines. Under level 1 guidelines, all faculty/staff and students will be encouraged to wear masks indoors, but it is not required. If you feel more comfortable with your child continuing to wear a mask all day, please inform your teacher or administrator, and we will support you on this decision. Below you will find the level 1 guidelines. Please review these with your children.

Please notify the school if your child tests positive or is in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID. If your child is not feeling well or is experiencing COVID like symptoms, please keep him/her home. We will continue to watch our COVID numbers and will be in contact with local health officials.

As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are top priority. Thank you for entrusting the administration and staff at Cathedral Catholic School with your children each day. We appreciate your support and prayers for our school.

Level 1 Protocols

  • All faculty/staff and students will be encouraged to wear masks indoors. Unvaccinated individuals are especially encouraged to wear masks. Masks may be required in certain classrooms or in other instances as determined by the teacher or administration.
  • Reasonable efforts will be made to maintain a minimum of three feet between individuals. Common areas such as the cafeteria, specialized classrooms, and auditoriums may be used throughout the day as long as they are sanitized between classes.
  • Contact tracing will be conducted when a positive case is reported. Students or school personnel known to have been in close contact (less than three feet for more than fifteen minutes) with someone who tests positive for COVID-19 will:
    • Not attend school or activities for ten days after the last contact with the infected individual. Students who do not develop symptoms and receive a negative COVID-19 test result after day five may return to school. Please note positive antibody test results will not be accepted.
